The big plus is that you actually host your own server, unlike ROBLOX where you run off their server.

This way, there isn't much stress on the server, and you, and other players experience much less lag.

The master server is only for authentication and displaying the server list.

It's good to see he likes it. But bear in mind that if the server list isn't working, about once every 2 weeks the master server that allows access to all other servers will fart and be dormant usually around 1-2 hours, so don't panic if that happens.
