Everyone predicting a doomsday or the end of humanity are handicapped.

Large CMEs from the sun are real, and can screw with communications - a massive solar flare in 1859 burned down a bunch of telegraph lines. However, we have made significant advances in technology the last 150 years. The worst that would happen is a widespread but temporary power outage. It wouldn't send the world back into the dark ages either since it would only hit one side of the earth.

A solar flare cannot directly kill a person on Earth. You'd probably get a huge dose of radiation if you were in a spacecraft over the daylight side of the Earth when this happens but on the ground there's almost no chance you will be hurt. Even if the magnetic field is weak, it's still enough to protect us from solar flares. This kind of stuff has been happening for all of Earth's existence so it's just stupid to say that a new one will suddenly kill off the magnetic shield.

Fun fact: one of the sun's largest spots was facing us about a month ago and ejected a massive wave at us. It came and went without any doomsday hype.

Everyone else in my server was having this problem - was a server issue. I remembered the server's cache.db and renaming it fixed the problem. Locking

I have hosted 3 or 4 times now on v20 without a hitch and have made zero modifications to my client/server, but when I join my server it wants me to redownload between 1195 and 2200 files that I already have, and it usually either downloads about 200 of them and stops, or it stops at the first one. Either way, the console gets spammed with garbage such as this:

If it does download the 200, and I re-join, it forces me to download them again.

I have renamed my cache.db so it would create a new one in case it was corrupt, but the same thing happens.

My server is dedicated and my client/server run from different folders, but with the same addons/configs.

I think you're missing the point. Badspot improved the updater so that he could push out updates faster, and new content is delivered via updates, isn't it?

It isn't only a simple launcher, dumbass. Did you read the thread/changelog at all? He created a new update system so he can push out smaller updates faster.

I'm looking for small gaming computers.  I believe this Alienware is a good choice, for size and reliability (I'm also hung on the marketing scheme they put on the website)
What would use suggest that is a cheaper, similar, alternative?

Same GPU and processor, only downsides are that it only has 8 gigs of ram (down from 12), and a 500gb hard drive (down from 750). Seems more than sufficient enough, though.

Like I said in another thread about someone wanting an alienware, you're wiping your ass with $1000 if you get one. They're not built to last long and are insanely overpriced.

You will probably get more use out of a gaming desktop, but if you really want a laptop, I hear that the general consensus points to Asus.
