Will the wireless still work for the rest of the computers?

Well, I don't have to shut it down if I can either:
1. Disconnect it from the internet.
2. Close it's torrent programs (BitComet and Miro)
It's connected to my router (Actiontec v1000h) via Ethernet

I had a computer in my house that I had something downloading on. Thing is, it is slowing down the internet, and I can't get out to the computer as I might wake up my parents. The computer is running Windows XP Home Edition. How can I shut it down from my computer?
