HRTF snip
Nobody seems to be mentioning, too, that all the sounds VALVe hasn't changed that they've used from CSS or older are now much lower quality.. sounding.
VALVe must've updated the sound engine a bit to accommodate for the new sound system, which now probably processes sounds much differently. In turn, this now plays the new soundeffects they've added better, but you can now hear the older soundeffects in their.. low quality.. form.

The same thing happens with Blockland when when you use Port's fix to update the sound engine. Everything is much higher quality, but lower quality sounds at lower bitrates are much more noticeable.

man the obvious magazine and the name of the channel ruined the surprise way too early for me
Like, I thought this was going to be a school shooting thing the immediate second I saw the channel name.

Off Topic / Re: Mall of America hires first black Santa

A black man working at a mall as a Santa is by no means a bad practice.
Hiring a black man to be Santa at a mall just because he's black and you need "diversity," is, in my opinion, a bad practice. Not saying that this is what happened here, but, I wouldn't agree with it if they only did it because they needed a black person in there.

I hope he enjoys working there and I hope he encounters no problems while he does.

oh ok, how about Annoying Orange stopping furries, lol
There should be a rule about bringing up stuff like that about any fandom, whether it be furries, weebs, bronies, etc. because it causes people from that fandom (like myself) to reply and not contribute to the thread itself.

I really doubt that this would end up being successful. Like.. that's.. a lot of internet to back up.

Add-Ons / Re: Modern Assault Rifles [Weapon-Pack]

Would you like me to give you / code in better sounds, and package all of them into one addon? I can make the guns sound a lot better, and it's easier if they're in one pack.

You can find it if you look for the person's channel specifically.

General Discussion / Re: Blockland Repository
« on: November 26, 2016, 07:13:13 AM »
It would be interesting to see the files split into bigger categories, for example, how the add-on board structure works on the forums here. From there, players can filter from specific categories, or view all at once. That would ease up on the eye-sore of a million icons.

It would also be nice to see if something like this could collaborate, or at least, include add-ons that have been submitted to RTB and now Blockland Glass. If there's any incentive to use this website, it's going to have to include a wide range of add-ons, and make them very easily accessible. It's a valid point that having this and Glass completely separate almost completely nullifies this seeing as how Blockland Glass has had fair progress.. this isn't some sort of monopoly where having one choice is "unfair to users due to lack of choice" because it's literally just splitting content.

In short: If you can find a way to merge add-ons submitted to Blockland Glass, the forums, and what's on the RTB archives, this would be the perfect website to bookmark and frequent and submit to for add-ons.

I like how companies have pledged a large amount so they can get their name on the top of the "top donors" list.
Some even top the last one by a single dollar so they can be higher.

I'm surprised Overwatch isn't on the "best sound design" list. It's music is very memorable and the way they execute sound makes the game feel clean and proper. Not to mention, the audio in the game serves a technical purpose as well, since you can easily distinguish characters and where they are.
If DOOM is making that list, then I guess ultra dubstep soundtracks and generically punchy soundeffects are what constitute "good sound design" nowadays for the average action-hungry gamer.

I was told the electoral college was made way back then, before things like TV and such, because people from other states would hear very little about candidates. So, the electoral college was made in order to prevent people from voting for bad presidents they knew nothing about.

Well, that's useless now. But that's the only thing I really know that the electoral college has a use for.

Is that legit, though? Or is it just a glitch? Would be cool if everybody but sombra was disabled for a time.
