Thank goodness, I was wondering why Annoying Orange hadn't already been investigated after attempting a coup.

Big promises but what do you have to show for them

I just play Jagged Alliance 2, the mods for that game are also really good. 1.13 is a blast and adds in all kinds of guns
I just played 7.62 Hard Life. It was dog stuff

Off Topic / Re: Unreal Engine 5
« on: August 07, 2022, 01:39:27 PM »
C# is a perfect abstraction for game development. I think Unity's greatest strength is they know exactly who their audience is; UE struggles with this because they can't tell if they want to poach triple A companies (who already have in-house software) or if they want to market "one size fits all hyper realism" to indie developers who don't actually have the requisite teams to make use of their technology. Not to mention: Unreal's out of the box workflow is crippling to anything that isn't a FPS/TPS or similar game

If they wanna take my guns, they'll have to bust down my door and murder me for them, as I'm just chilling peacefully in my house as usual
Interestingly enough I haven't seen much of this happening in Baltimore even though there's plenty of guns there that have been illegal for much longer. I think Biden said something about nukes but they've never been nuked either? Weird

It's not like you need much more than a few determined men with bolt-action rifles and revolvers to do some good work. This bill won't protect them.
The funny part is that lever actions are still fine. I will never get the obsession with AR-15s

Amazing that these goofballs will straight up admit in their interrogation videos that they only used AR-15's because they thought they looked cool in video games and the wizened bunioned adrenochrome fiending baggages in DC will just continue to make up the most handicapped out of pocket stuff about guns imaginable

General Discussion / Re: Should Blockland go open source?
« on: July 25, 2022, 11:43:54 AM »
STALKER went open source a while back and it was the best thing that happened to that modding community. The only difference is that Blockland is a multiplayer game which introduces its own security issues, and like 1 in 3 blocklanders is a malicious psycho so there’s fewer “reputable sources” for compiled engine mods than there is with STALKER. But we’ve seen it before; going open source would be a huge win for BL and would draw in a significant amount of new players and life, but at no benefit to Badspot, so it won’t happen.

would love to see some community push towards v21 v20 oops

There is no point in debating grammatical semantics about the constitution like a politician, it wont make you right. It is plainly telling you that citizens should have a deterrent against the government; which they can be in charge of. There is nothing wrong with this sentiment. I'd say an AR-15 is pretty tame compared to an Abrams, so frankly the leeway is in the wrong direction. I don't wanna hear about the foresight of the people who defeated the British empire from people who can't defeat me in the octagon

160
Oh lmao they loving border one, gotcha. I forgot that Feds -> State are the only levels of government in America

161
Yes the handful of blue cities that contain all of the gun violence in the country make us look like complete stuff, well said. Fortunately the rest of us can enjoy things like less rape than “developed” nations like Australia as a direct consequence of gun ownership.

162
okay but like, the amount of deaths from guns absolutely dwarves the amount from wildlife.

Okay but like there's still 0 shark related deaths in Kansas. To put that in terms you will understand: the vast majority of Americans will never experience gun violence, and most of the real-estate in America is territory where gun ownership is categorically a good thing, no matter how many people get shot in Chicago every single day. It's not my fault you didn't even read the post where you decided to drop your handicapped surface-level twitter argument.

163
Ok and I lived in zone 6 for like 20 and never saw anyone get shot. That's just being a gamer. Not everyone's experience is universal, but if you've never left Kansas your chances of getting killed by a shark is still 0.

Also if you lived in bear country for 17 years you'd think you'd realize that wildlife creates more issues than danger to personal safety

164
This is the argument here? Really? You're significantly more likely to get shot then you are to die from wildlife.
Uh, yes? The first post you responded to immediately established he was talking about rural areas, where there are issues unique to those areas like bears, boars, coyotes, mountain lions, and dogstuff emergency response. Did you just pick the first post you saw?

How often do you deal drugs in Chicago? If the answer is "Never", I would be more worried about the wildlife.

165
You'd have cops getting shot and killed en masse trying to take guns, if they even bother to try because they know that's a nightmare scenario
They're just going to come to picket fence suburban neighborhoods and take rifles from 9-5 dads. Trying to go into cities and stop the other 98% of gun violence would just be war on drugs 2. They can have my lower receiver if they really want it that bad, more convenient than losing it in a boating accident.
