The appliances and the cupboards in the kitchen look great, but the floors, ceiling, and walls make it  look  very messy.

I'm sure you looked around for landmarks/street names and looked them up on Google maps to get exact locations.

I don't see why you would try to do this without googling stuff. The fun part is playing detective.

Definitely not worth watercooling. If you really want it to be quiet you could get an "ambient" cooler or more simply one without a fan. It all depends on how many watts of heat it's putting out though. Even if you do that, I would imagine that the harddrive and the power supply will be quite loud as they are old.

I can't buy it until at my birthday, so I will revise it accordingly to the Haswell architecture's i5 and i7 (if Intel doesn't screw up the processor naming scheme again).

Keep in mind that the power of computers increases exponentially almost every 2 years.

I would also go with the 7970 as I feel that it is a better value, and generally anything more powerful isn't necessary until you move onto resolutions above 1080p.

Unless you are doing a serious overclock, anything over 1600 would be generally redundant. You very likely won't be able to tell the difference between a 1333 set and a 2133 set. Any by serious overclock, I mean serious overclock. 1600mhz would be fine to at least 4.5ghz.

Price seems pretty good to me.

Obviously, windows will cost at least $100. A decent graphics card will probably run you another $200 or so.

I wouldn't call it low end, though. Other than the GTS 250, it is a pretty nice machine.

People certainly tend to underestimate the first-gen i5s and i7s, honestly the gaming performance between it and, say, a current i5 or i7 would be negligible in the majority of games.

I would say, see if you can get him down to $250. And also see if might have a windows license key lying around, no the one on the side of your desktop or bottom of your laptop will not work.

yeah, if you're a friend and use 1tb drives at bootdrives instead of SSDs.

Yes. I would take an HP over a Toshiba any day. Not saying that Toshiba isn't good, I just prefer HP.

I don't know why you're pissed off.
It would be awesome to have your own separate cabin away from your parents. If your brother is cool you guys can get some alcohol in there too.

Suggestions & Requests / Save Organization
« on: August 14, 2012, 11:31:51 PM »
Before we got rid of maps all of the saves were put into categories based on maps. Now that we don't have them, all of the saves are combined into one big folder. I was wondering if someone might be able to add a new feature that is basically the same as it was before, except that instead of maps, you can create categories or choose from a set of pre-made ones.

Why? It's a legitimate request, and I would like more opinions as to whether or not this is currently possible.
