the funniest part is that the actual engine and technology behind roblox is really impressive, but it's mainly being used to make profit farms disguised as idle games that only take advantage of a tenth of the engines actual potential.

Thank you, Mr Ouija. Do not know how this typo could have occurred. Possible national socialist interference? Hippies perhaps?
Unfortunately, it is likely to be both.
The path we walk to find our long lost internet friends is plagued with national socialist hippies, their paradoxical nature is a hazard to us folk in the hylic plane.

Do not pay them any attention, do not approach them, maintain your distance. If you have failed to do this then please burn the provided effigy while chanting the screen name of your lost friend; do not mispronounce their name or else you will face certain death, succeed and they will fade from view, giving you time to escape.

Happened to me too, I have a friend on steam who hasn't logged in for 14 years now.

Now I didn't really talk to him much back then, or really remember any of our conversations back in 2009/2010 beside the fact that I would send him a new crazy frog meme daily, but i know as a fact that I must find out who he was so that I can finally have closure in my life and finally be at peace. I've already tried most of what you've mentioned in the original post, voodoo dolls based on my singular memory of him (killed my pen pal in south africa, oops), weegee board communication at 3:33am and accidentally summoning incomprehensible horrors from another realm, goblin darts, bulgarian bloodletting to force the horrors will to give me answers as to his whereabouts.
All of them were dead ends, except for one.

Before he disappeared he had sent me one picture of his new desk and I, being a connoisseur of fine desks, immediately recognised the material; cheap, cardboard-like, recycled thin plywood from Ikea.
Using this and a hacker I had hired from CraigsList for 5 dollars and a baggie of crack, I was able to retrieve the sales data from Ikea for a period between 2009 and 2010 which, thanks to poor data security standards of the time, also contained personal information of the buyers which I could easily use in a slow and tedious process to find my old internet friend by tracking down each customers current address and visiting them myself.

As of writing, I am still in the process of scrubbing through the list and have been arrested 3 times, maced 16 times, shanked 4 times, and hit with a poison dart once.
It's a long and painful road, but it will all be worth it when I can finally ask him what he meant by "I don't want to talk to you anymore" and "Crazy frog isn't that funny, please stop".

Post your predictions
probably just the switch again but with better specs.

otherwise, what i'd ideally want is a successor to the 3DS - a portable games console that can realistically fit in my pocket and not make me a glowing beacon for thieves.
i know smartphones can basically do that already, but i'm usually saving my phones battery for messages and calls.

and soyjaks below

When I checked the forum just now I was logged out and had to log back in. They probably got forced to log out
doesn't seem like it, they updated their profile 4 days ago with a new signature.
it is truly the end of blockland.

i think badspot somehow is still profiting off the forum via ads so its not gonna go down unless it starts losing money
last i heard the forums are entirely self hosted by badspot, and the site doesn't accept file large file uploads (2MB max).
it's probably cheap enough that a single game sale can likely fund the server expenses for another couple of months. especially now that activity is at a minimum.

Noticed that it was pretty inactive today, anyone remember years back when the april fools events happened here?
there's a growing movement that opposes april fools day pranks because "they're annoying". google being a big one, they haven't done a prank since 2019.
given that every big tech company wants to copy each other, most of them saw what google was doing and joined in.

even reddit didn't do one this year, and they always have something up for april fools.
