General Discussion / Blockland VR
« on: June 04, 2018, 12:04:58 AM »
It's possible to have slight Blockland VR with ZSNO's 360 perspective add-on + Virtual Desktop on Steam, and of course with a VR headset.

https://www.twitch.tv/videos/269183233

I'd skip towards the end for a small demonstration of in-game on a freebuild.

Also, I'd turn sounds off since I was on Discord and my friends were playing a different game.

I had to use keyboard and mouse yes, because the camera movements in-game don't follow the headset's movements. So it's not fully-on perfect VR.

Just thought I'd share.

Well not exactly a sword, but some form of melee weapon like a machete. I was going to go hunting and wanted a badass melee weapon of some sort. Any sword suggestions or whatever? I already have a Bowie knife but idk if I should get something better.

3
just thought I'd share this

Just an FYI, yes, bot is an actual bot

PS: It also has text to speech on the stream
and no it can't hear sounds aside from the text to speech

General Discussion / Blockland Server Popularity Chart (Top Servers)
« on: February 12, 2017, 11:56:39 PM »
So basically a friend of mine made a database that stores information about the Blockland master server list. Based on ticks every few minutes, it determines which servers have the most consistent players on at any time of the day. Just thought I'd share this information, and I'll likely update this topic for future updates.

Off Topic / CaravanGaming (Discord Community) (Game Servers)
« on: January 31, 2017, 10:18:38 PM »

We are a small community that derived from Blockland.
We seperated into the "Blockland Teamspeak" a few years back, and now we're an all-around gaming community.
In this topic I will discuss what we represent, how to join us if you're willing, and some of the community rules.

Why join us?

We represent individual gamers who enjoy playing a variety of games online. We also try to host multiple game servers for our community members.
While we would like for people to join the community, it isn't our priority. Our priority is just to openly host game servers, and try to provide for individual gamers of all kinds.

Thus, I bring to you a community that can shift to multiple games and expand in it's own pace.

Rules

Now, over the years we've had to add a lot of different rules.
If you are uncomfortable following these set of rules you should probably not join. Although, it should be relatively easy for you.

Default Community Rules
These set of rules apply to the entire server.

01. Don't frequently bait or troll.

02. Don't be a nuisance to our community.

03. Don't abuse power.

04. Don't attempt to bend or go around these server rules.

05. Don't advertise/promote anything related to other communities that aren't CaravanGaming.

Additional Community Rules
These set of rules don't apply to member-owned channels, but still apply everywhere else.

06. Don't spam on purpose.

07. Don't play music outside of the sound rooms.

08. Don't be disruptive in a public room.

09. Don't use voice changers or soundboards in public rooms.

10. Post NSFL links in #nsfl , NSFW links in #nsfw , and obvious memes in #meme

Reporting

http://cvg.clanservers.com/index.php?board=3.0

If you are going to report someone, it would be wise to provide evidence that can be very influential or decisive. If there is no proof, we will not accept the report.

Introduction:
This project is highly based off elements of DayZ and Project Zomboid. It also includes ideas from various people throughout the community.
I couldn't have done any of this if it wasn't for the enormous amount of help from all my friends throughout the Blockland community. We did it guys.

Planned:
Map #2 (All Hand-Built) (In Progress)
Bleeding Out? (Currently Broken)
Weather (Currently Broken)
GUI? (Probably not?)
Dream-World Idea (Probably not?)
Radio Communication?
Zombies Drop Loot?
Salvage?
Global Containers? (Adding on the hand-built map)
Zombie Variety?
If Infected, Green Vignette? (Probably not?)
Better Emotion Info?
Better Zombie AI?
Medication Variety? (Probably not?)

Credits:
Nobot - Lead Coordinator/Builder/Ideator/Sounds Designer/Code Tweaker
I organized the entire project and contacted people for help. (Old Map Stuff: Duped every building into city areas. Added support bricks for floating bricks to every house. Placed interiors in every house. Placed zombie spawns, item spawns, vehicle spawns, and player spawns around the entire map. Named every city and edited the picture map. Did majority of the roads and majority of brick deletion.) Gathered ambience from various sources, looped them, and exported them to .ogg. Contributed to item spawning percentages. Implemented Salvage Mod by DrenDran into the gamemode.

ZSNO - Lead Coder/Modeler
I coded most of the gamemode, and got resources from many other scripts which are noted and credited in the code. (Old Map Stuff: Generated entire map landscape using my own custom terrain generator. Contributed to placing roads.) (Old Weaponset: Modeled the ammo boxes.) Contributed to item spawning percentages.

Sylvanor + Cohort Clan - Lead Builders
(Old Map Stuff: We built most of the buildings. We made most of the buildings enterable.)

Tetris - Graphic Designer
I made the What Remains logo based off the Project Zomboid logo.

JamJar - Ideator
I came up with the 'dream world' idea. (Not Yet Implemented)

Kazami - Ideator
I came up with the name of the project.

Niblic - Builder
(Old Map Stuff: I built some props.)

Nymph/F1sh - Lead Builder 2/Aid
I am building the new map. (Old Map Stuff: I built a mini gas station. Contributed to brick deletion. Contributed to placing roads. Aided in duping.)

Navaro - Builder/Aid
(Old Map Stuff: I contributed to brick deletion. I built the tents and campfires.)

Obnasious - Builder/Aid
(Old Map Stuff: I contributed to brick deletion. I built some props.)

OrkusBorkus - Builder/Aid
(Old Map Stuff: I contributed to brick deletion. I built some props.)

Cortunix/Executioner173 - Aid
(Old Map Stuff: I contributed to brick deletion. Contributed placing roads.)

Conan - Code Tweaker
I helped fix the radio communication mod.

If you want to make a map of it yourself, feel free to post it on here and I might add it to the OP.

Will keep this topic updated and post on various things we may need to add.
Don't be afraid to post your ideas, as well on how we could make this mod better, although, don't be insulted if we do not use your ideas. They are only suggestions.
Also, feel free to report server issues on this topic. Your reports will help us make the server better.

Update 9/22/16:

So many of you may remember this from a while back. I will be talking about the current status of the gamemode.
ZSNO, our lead coder has quit working on the gamemode.

Quote
ZSNO: But anyways, I won't be working on What Remains anymore.
Nobot: ah ok
Nobot: :I

With that being said, the gamemode is kind of going to die for real now though. I will most likely be releasing it, but I want to host it for a little longer and try to finish some more planned stuff.

I implemented Salvage Mod by DrenDran into the mod. I also added Bushido's Weapon_AdventurePack and Weapon_Clushido as the new weapons in the gamemode. (I took out the other ones)
I made players only spawn with a backpack and a CRadio Item that allows for communication between channels 1-9, which they can speak with each other globally as long as they're using the item.
I also edited spawn percentages and made it much easier to find stuff. So yeah, if you guys are interested in playing it for a while longer, then go for it.

Creativity / Nobot's Logo Request Thread
« on: March 03, 2016, 03:44:59 PM »
So, I've been making logos for a few months now. I don't think I'm ready to be making money off of them, so I do them for free as practice.
Keep in mind though, that not all of these logos are 100% original, but they are able to be used under fair use as long as you don't make profit while using the said logo.
I've been making these logos primarily for organizations, clans, or small little projects that people have.

You can request a logo here, but if it's something I cannot do I will skip your request. First come first serve. I may not be super fast either, because I work and go to school.
If your request is stupid, I will skip it as well. Requesting should be taken seriously.
Current List:

2. Nicepoint
3. c[_]
4. PurpleSir
5. Cubed Root

Off Topic / DISC Personality Test - Which one are you?
« on: January 10, 2016, 06:19:58 AM »
https://www.123test.com/disc-personality-test/

Instructions: Choose 1 "Most Like Me" and 1 "Most Unlike Me" for each category and then press next.

Here's Mine:

D: Task Oriented (Direct/Confident)

Tends to be direct and decisive, sometimes described as dominant. They would prefer to lead than follow, and tend towards leadership and management positions. They tend to have high self-confidence and are risk takers and problem solvers, which enables others to look to them for decisions and direction. They tend to be self-starters.

I: People Oriented (Outgoing/Emotional)

Not afraid to be the center of attention. They are enthusiastic, optimistic, talkative, persuasive, impulsive and emotional. This Personality Type will trust others naturally, truly enjoys being around others, and functions best when around people and working in teams.

S: People Oriented (Friendly/Understanding)

Known for being steady, stable, and predictable. They are even-tempered, friendly, sympathetic with others, and very generous with loved ones. They are understanding, and good at listening to others. Preferring close, personal relationships, they are is very opened with loved ones, but can also be possessive at times and hold them close.

C: Task Oriented (Careful/Precise)

Accurate, precise, detail-oriented, and conscientious. They think very brown townytically and systematically and make decisions carefully with plenty of research and information to back it up. They have very high standards for both themselves and others. Because they focus on the details and see what many other styles do not, they tend to be good problem solvers and very creative people.

This is mostly just an experiment, I'm curious what personality people on here are.

Introduction

Teamspeak IP [US]: CaravanGaming.Teamspeak3.com
Cube World IP [US]: 173.199.100.107

Hello and welcome to the Caravan Gaming Official Topic.
In this topic I will discuss what we represent, how to join us if you're willing, and some of the rules of the Teamspeak.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Teamspeak?

How do I use Teamspeak?

About Us

We represent individual gamers who enjoy playing a variety of games online.
We also represent a community that is based around Teamspeak, a voice communication software that is free and available on all platforms.

Originally we began as a Blockland Teamspeak, and the games we played were mostly just Blockland.
After about a year and a half we began shifting to not only playing Blockland, but instead playing a variety of games.
It became apparent to me that we had to change who we were, because if you have a Teamspeak based around a single game, there isn't much freedom to expand.

Thus, I bring to you a community based around Teamspeak that can shift to multiple games and expand in it's own pace.

05. Don't advertise other Teamspeaks.

10. Abide by rules listed in the 'topic' of certain rooms.

Reporting

Reports are approved by the server owner and double admins. We may or may not accept a report due to:
The severity of a rule and how it was broken, or further evaluation of the situation.

If you are going to report someone, it would be wise to provide evidence that can be very influential or decisive. If there is no proof, we will not accept the report.

How to join

If you are interested, you can join our Steam group and Teamspeak.

If you're confused on how to use Teamspeak, watch this video.

Game Servers

As of right now we  have a dedicated Rust server and a dedicated Cube World server.

Here is a live view of the map. (Rust)

If anybody has good suggestions for game servers let us know and we may add more.

Old Topic

Basically, a long time ago Port gave me a client-sided script that tracked players I met in-game. I'm not going to release this because it's pretty buggy.
Aoki made something very similar though, if you were looking for a client mod that did this.

Anyways, I've been using this client mod since mid 2012, so a lot of names have stacked up.
Oldest Entry: Name: Cpt.Price BLID: 24987 Last Seen: 06/26/12 12:23:32

It can be used as reference to certain people if they wanted to find someone, so I will be updating this topic every month or so with a new zip of names or people I meet.
The links on the old topic work as well. The old topic was made around 05.13.14, so this is an 8 month update.

I needed to really get this off my chest.
I'm only attracted to robots. :(
I always thought it was weird that I got a boner every time the toaster popped out toast.
Damn... Toasters are nice.

I know it's strange because y'know, I'm no bot, but idk maybe I am a bot.
Maybe some part of me is a bot. Somehow.

Anyways I know many of you will probably judge me and say I am a freak, but know this, at least I'm not attracted to ponies? :s
Probably pony robots. But not regular ponies!

April fools!
