they'll be back after demand dies

they'll always be back

When the AI Bubble pops its going to be catastrophic.

So many tech bros have deluded themselves into believing AI is literally the second coming of Christ.

And I must emphasize LITERALLY.

They're in for a rude awakening when investors realize it's all just an over advertised Complex Language Prediction Algorithm disguised as intelligence.

There is no way this is going to end well, especially when the US economy is basically dependent on AI.

Doom 3

HI ive been craving more doom 3 since i finished it and resurrection of evil a bit ago. even went as far as to install bfg edition to play lost mission and it was fine i guess, nowhere near as good as the original and RoE. a mod i'd recommend - it's not fully action horror, has a lot of neat storytelling and takes cues from classic doom (gameplay-wise mainly, doesn't intrude on doom 3's aesthetic) and amnesia: the dark descent, but i highly recommend you take a look at doom 3: phobos. would pay full price for it if it was for sale but it's a free mod

Left 4 Dead 1/2

been meaning to take a look at n-pack/nightmare and see if it really ramps this up. i do pretty fine in advanced but i am no good at expert difficulty at all so i have to wonder how it'd go. i also kind of hate the turtle rock survivor models compared to the final's but n-pack feels like it'd make them work

At this point, I wouldn't be surprised that the other two main RAM manufacturers ditch consumer products as well in order to make gaming an online service. I am feeling very doomer right now. Maybe the rest of the hardware manufacturers will start collaborating with windows and apple to make all new hardware ID paired to a specific OS license so that everyone has to pay for everything in perpetuity.
