Really depends on what country you are on.
Well, you COULD get used to both, what I got used to is 1 in being 2.54 cm. Ft and miles are goners for me... Don't ask why I only learned that specific unit.

Did you know that the size of the space shuttles was limited by the wheel distance on the chariots of ancient rome? It's true, and all because of imperial scale.
