I might just be used to that type of scenery personally. Where I live I get an eerie fog in the morning, what makes it spookier is that I live in the woods. At night time its just super dark, not pitch black though.

but yeah, there is stars at night, but always it seems they fade away eventually. or that may just be my eyes.
@alyx, its pretty creepy when you cant see anything infront of your house/its silent as forget.
idk, its just the feeling of isolation.
