To me, Inglorious Basterds really didn't look like it had much of a narrative. It just looked look like they were killing all the high members of the national socialist party working their way up to killing Riddler. But that was only based on the commercial. All I saw was the group shooting the windshield of a jeep with a bunch of M4A1 Thompsons.

Inglorious Basterds didn't actually focus on the Basterds enough, in my opinion.

If Coraline loses best animation, I will rip my intestines out my loving ass.

ESPECIALLY IF IT LOSES TO loving snake AND THE loving FROG.

I've not watched any movies from this year, or last year, or the year before that, or the year before that too, a- i don't watch movies really.

Oscars are cool.

And ocar myer weeners

It's actually not like that at all. It's actually about a kind of rewritten ending to world war two. I'll summarize the plot in small text below:

There was this jewish girl where her family was being hunted by the national socialists. The national socialists find her house that she is hiding in and they kill everyone except her, and she gets away. The narrative then switches to the Basterds, a group of Jewish U.S. soldiers that kill national socialists in brutal ways because they think that's the only way they can get back at the national socialists, which they see as just as brutal. In the actual movie, the first part that focuses on the basterds merely shows them ambushing a national socialist troop, killing their general, getting intel from one of the soldiers. Brad Pitt then asks that soldier if he's going to take off his uniform when the war is over. He says yes, and Brad Pitt says ?"Well I'm going to give you something you can't take off" and carves a swastika in his head and lets him go. The narrative then switches back to the jewish girl. Long story short, she gets a theater, and persuades Joseph Goebbels to screen one of his film premier in her theater. When the basterds find out that Riddler is going to be there, they decide that they're going to Self Delete bomb the theater, however the jewish chick decided that she was going to lock the doors and burn down the theater. The national socialists find out about the basterd's plot, but not the jewish girl's. A national socialist general then captures Brad Pitt and allows the assassination plot to go on as long when the war is over, history gets rewritten to say that the general knew about it the whole time and was an American operative and never a real national socialist and he would get all this American land and honored by the government and stuff. Pitt agrees to these terms, both plots go down and as the theater is starting to burn, two of the basterds are in the theater mowing down national socialists and then the bombs go off and the entire theater blows up. Brad Pitt takes the general and his assistant to the U.S. frontlines so they can mock surrender. Brad Pitt, after he gets his knife and gun back and the general is cuffed, shoots his assistant and then carves the swastika in the general's head.

That's a rough approximation of the plot. Look it up on Wikipedia if you want a clearer summary.

I loving loved Inglorious Basterds. Shoshanna was the most awesome character Ive ever seen in a movie <3

Also, I dont see how you are all arguing over whether a movie is good or not. Not only have most of you not even seen it, but whether or not you like it is your opinion. Noones is going to change, no matter how many times you say its just special effects. I liked Avatar - Probably because I also like Pocahontas and Sigourney Weaver.

More handicappedness, this time on Facebook. One of my best friends comes out with this argument:

"...****, any movie that can make me passionately cheer against my own SPECIES I would consider more then an accomplishment."

I don't find that very handicapped :D
If my msn message wasn't taken up by  other stuff, i would put that there.

i heard that people who had cable in new york that were watching the oasors had no signal to see it

Today's movies are just stuffty plots mashed up with special effects.

I'm sorry but I agree.

And Colten, yes we are aware that these are our opinions. If they weren't, we wouldn't be able to argue them, now would we?

Wow, Avatar didn't win as many as I thought it would.

Now I want to see The Hurt Locker... should've watched it when my dad did.

Haha, Avatar won only 3 Oscars. I agree it's too damn overhyped.

Now I'll go see The Hurt Locker.
