Author Topic: Healthcare Bill passed House tonight  (Read 28060 times)

Yay, I've been bothering Kingfloat and Thar over skype, they're so pissed lol.

I went to Jamestown in Virginia. It was a pretty nice place to visit with the old ship, buildings and such.

why i like it;
We should have had this a long time ago, this is what average citizens need. raise the taxes, so what. taxes are good. high taxes means better services.

why i hate it;
i can afford my own private insurance. so now when my tooth or kidney hurts, i can wait in line with the million new poor people that wouldn't have been there before.
and use whatever doctors they tell me to.

I repeal anything i said before.

I guess the only thing i don't like about the bill is the insurance part of it.
I think it will just make things difficult.

The United States has health insurance companies. You can't get rid of them just like that.

Yes, the concept of them is handicapped, but there's nothing you can do. It's good that you've changed your opinion on what's in the bill after actually reading it.

There won't be longer lines, wtf. If anything it'll just give hospitals and clinics more business, eliminating the need for frivolous care to milk your insurance.

loving old people cleaned out social security and medicare. even the SS and MC my generation already put into it.
turned out they were way more expensive then the government predicted 50 years ago.
all because last 3 gens are cigaretteots and didn't feel like taking care of themselves or saving money during their life.

this bill is pretty much the only government protection we will have after the others went to shambles.
and instead of a separate charge off your paycheck like ss and medc was, this will just take more taxes. not all that different, but will work better.

Bye

This is the part where Texas secedes.

hope Alabama secedes somewhat now

we trying little at a time to be like the rest of the world's health-care.
i am VERY aware of what the UK or canadain health care is like. there is indeed waiting for non emergency needs.
sometimes days or weeks.

even the US stuffty insurance system we had, a person could get instant help of anything he wants. at random walking into a clinic

Depends on the place. In big cities no, but in more rural areas there's a wait.

But there are private clinics too, which no one is stopping you from going to.

ITT: butthurt republicans and smart people.

First day in The People's Democratic Socialist Republic of America under the guidance of Supreme Glorious Leader Obama, Protector and Defender of the Free World, is going pretty well. One tiny problem though. I noticed a distinct lack of socialism anywhere. I tried walking out of a walmart with a TV. Can you believe the nerve of store security? They asked me if I was going to pay for that.

When I informed them that we live in a socialist nation where everything belongs to the people, so the TV was clearly mine, they seemed non-plussed. I guess they missed the memo. I don't argue with cops but I informed them my lawyer would be hearing about this.

Wedge it's so disappointing that your genuinely witty and satirical posts go over the heads of most forum members so I want to let you know that they are greatly appreciated by those who can comprehend their meaning. Good show!

For once I agree with ephi.
