Use the sling for beginners. If you have marks lower than 20, don't use bows yet.

If you have a marksmanship of 30 above, bows are fine in that level.

Also, we have q30+ stuff here. Woooo.

Sling tip:

Higher q string + High Survival = High q sling = Faster aim + lower deduction from the 60 base damage

Bow tip:

High q bow + High q bone arrows = High Damage

High Damage + High Marksmanship = Animal Massacre

EDIT: To get those high q arrows, either you get high q bones from boars, deers, or bears. Or you could plant high q trees for high q branches. OR you could do both, which is soo much better.

With slings, here is the low down, slings are probably the best weapons in the game, as my Alt always uses them, and i can take down a bear in about 10 minutes.


Marksman:

1-4, hardly ever hit

5-10 Sometimes hit

10-20 Most of the time, hit

30-... Never miss.
