I think you have to build the mine entrance in the cave

i'm pretty sure thats not how it works

I think it might be like, use prospecting -> go find where the ore is, and start mining over there

but i'm wondering if the walls with ore are noticeable without prospecting first

I used to ha\/e a ca\/e mine. Its no different than finding a mine outside - You still located it and build it (The ca\/e itself isnt actually a mine)
