Hehe, when the lag goes up I usually change from sniping to driving a tank :3


I feel like the Truvelo is too easy a choice though. Me personally, in good conditions with lag and the map and whatever, I can use the M700 and do good for the most part. But pretty much anyone out there, if given the choice, will take the Truvelo, sometimes even over an assault rifle from what I've seen. I've built several bases with weapons inside it including an M700, only to have people set down a red brick in the middle of the room with a Truvelo on it, and then they leave it there, and never touch anything else unless its an AT4, which again they have to make because I don't like just putting out the best weapons.

The stinger in my opinion is perfect. But the AT4 is still pretty much a crutch to alot of people. So what I'm thinking with the AT4, is raise the power, but CUT the blast radius. Make it nearly nonexistent. If you manage to hit someone directly with an AT4, then you deserve that kill at least. Not to mention it would be a tradeoff choice from the stinger when going foot vs vehicle. The stinger is good for choppers or long distance vehicles out in the open because of the lockon. The AT4 with changes would be good for closer vehicle encounters, but NOT good for killing people directly.

The Truvelo.... I'm not sure what to do with it to make it good but not as versatile. Maybe increase the magnification of the scope and increase the reload time a bit? I'unno.

Also, there is still the glitch with unlimited AT4s and Stingers. I wont say how to do it because more people will use it ingame. But a solution would be, instead of making you drop it on use, why not give it ammo of 1, and no reload. So you don't drop it after you use it. It remains empty in your inventory just like a gun thats empty, and you can't shoot it again unless you refill it or get a new one.

Although it may use large bullets and only uses one at a time... That perks it up to be used, because I noticed it has an epic trail when shot.

Increased magnification would make longer range shots a bit easier while at the same time making close range sniping harder. But maybe slower reload is enough to do that.

The "perk" is the lowest drop of any gun and the instant kill. Anyone can just point and click. Travel time and bullet drop is what makes the difference.

You're right about Truvelo being an instant kill AND instant hit. I'd be VERY overpowered.
I was wondering about a weaker raycast weapon, like the Tier + Tactical Pistol.
I don't want to bug Gravity Cat about making another weapon that raycasts, though.

The problem with raycast in general, and it was a problem with the T+T pistol, is that players are big and slow, making raycast suck in blockland period.

Also, pistol sniping tanks is stupid

Personally, with 12 people I lag up to 500-600 ping. So I just wont want that. If 12 = 500, then 22 = 900. Do not want.

So, how accurate is the finished XCR going to be? And yes, Digital's server using GSF maps = not fun. What's the problem, you ask?

I love this pack. So many new things. I mean, come on man, it's got freaking IRON SIGHTS! And limited ammo! And reload animations (eventually)! And the silencer actually reduces flash and - get this - LESSENS THE SOUND RADIUS, actually SILENCING THE GUN instead of just changing the sound from a <bewm> to a <pifff...>! I've got a feeling that this, plus the kill hider, means many, many more exciting and dangerous TDMs to come...

Oh yeah, and local chat. Don't forget local chat. That means even when you can talk, you can only tell people near you to watch out, and if you died close enough to the spawn for that to be useful, it's OK because that person was probably going to spawnkill anyway.
