Author Topic: {K} Krypt - And the new leader and co-leader are...  (Read 646863 times)

Kyzor said he'd know somehow. But that's why I suggested not have a poll at all, rather have people message him their votes, either through PM or some external program like Steam or Skype.

Holy stuff I almost just crushed my hand.

Is the election Saturday?

On Saturday I will open a poll for you all to vote for who will become the next leader and co-leader.

If I become leader I will make krypt become a clan of brass instrument playing frogs who lead a great parade

and then I will kill you.

What's the difference between leader and co-leader? Doesn't it mean exactly the same thing? Why not just make the top one leader, and runner-up co-leader?

That's what I'm doing. The person with the most votes on Saturday will become the new leader, and the runner-up will become co-leader. The difference between the two is that the leader will have direct contact with me about certain things pertaining to the clan, such as new members and changes to the OP. The co-leader is like an administrator with benefits. In other words, they have a couple more privileges than administrators do, such as the ability to permanently ban someone from a Krypt server. Admins cannot permanently ban anyone, only I can do that, or at least, only until Saturday.

Also let me just clear something up really quickly. The new leader of Krypt will not be a permanent new leader, I will be returning next summer, and will reclaim my leadership status at that time.

warning while you were typing wynd fox posted a fairly large post

OK, I'm going to make one post of all of my questions/suggestions.

First off, do all members vote (plus me), or just those you originally considered candidates (counting Mage, since you just forgot him)? - Any person whose name is in the OP is eligible to vote in Saturday's poll. This includes people in the Honorary Coolbros section.

Will there be two polls, one for leader, one for co-leader, and, if so, why not just make the runner-up co-leader? - That might be a good idea, I'll find a website where I can make polls and mess around with it a bit to see what I want to do. If there is one single poll, the runner-up will become co-leader, and the person with the most votes will become leader.

How long will the poll be open, in case someone is unable to get on on Saturday? - The poll will be open for a week after opening this Saturday. This gives everyone more than ample time to vote, and also provides extra time for a secondary poll in the case of any ties in the votes.

When will the winners be announced, immediately after the poll closes, or waiting till the end of summer? - The winners will be announced on Monday, August 15th, the day before I return to school. This day will be spent making the transition in leadership, and topic owners.

How will you know if someone votes for themself twice, honor system? Will it be a poll like those on this system, or will people tell you who they vote for? - That's an excellent question, I hadn't really thought about that much. I like the idea of having people tell me who they voted for, but then again, I won't know for sure if they're being truthful. But in all honesty, I think the members of my clan are mature enough for me to trust them to not cheat the votes.

Suggestions: Disqualify cheaters from the running, due to lack of trustworthiness and maturity. - That's a given.

Have people tell you who they vote for, to certainly avoid cheaters. - Strongly considering this.

Have it open for at least three days. - Open for a week, so that's taken care of.

Don't tell the winners until end of Summer, so they don't flaunt it. - If the winners decide to flaunt their victories, they will not be keeping their victories.

Have a back up in both categories, in case someone is ultra busy, but doesn't currently know they will be. - Good idea, will consider this.

Kyzor said he'd know somehow. But that's why I suggested not have a poll at all, rather have people message him their votes, either through PM or some external program like Steam or Skype. - Yeah, that would be a great idea. I'll have people send a PM with their vote. If you cannot PM, then we can arrange a brief Skype conversation where you give me your vote. Each person will vote in this format:

My vote for leader: XXXX
My vote for co-leader: XXXX

my vote for leader: comrad my vote for co leader: makarichard

Any votes cast before Saturday, whether serious or not, will be ignored.

Also very nice characters, Mak.

The 5th one from the left seems really cool.

Thanks for answering my questions.
Mak, those look great, except for a few, which look fine.

I think Kyzor meant people in the Memberslist or Honorary Cool Bros. sections. Could be wrong, of course.
