Author Topic: Favorite TF2 Scripts  (Read 2732 times)

Hey, I recently learned how to install scripts into TF2, which is really useful.
-Right now, I have one that changes your (Disguised) weapon (While disguised) as you change your weapon as the Spy.
-I have another that, even when cloaked & disguised, lets you taunt. Great for invisible knife-taunt-killing! (This one only worked on one server. Maybe I installed it wrong?)
-And, the last one I have is a "elegant" sapper script. It's bound to Mouse3 (The wheel's click), and when I press it down, it brings out the sapper. I just left click, then release, and it goes to my last disguise. Very useful.

I'm interested in which scripts you guys use!
Some information - Scripts are not cheating. They are binds to commands which you could easily access, but it simply does it for you. Yes, you can invisible taunt as the spy.
To install scripts, for those of you who don't know: You have to get to your tf/cfg folder. Inside it is a .cfg named "config" copy and paste it, in the same "cfg" folder, then rename it "autoexec." You then set the .cfg's to open with notepad, if you haven't already. Then open it up, and delete all the text. From there, you can copy and paste the scripts from a site like FPSBanana into autoexec, and then title each script with //[Title], one line above the script's start (Somebody verify this). Then, you can open up TF2 and have fun! In the consol, you can manually start autoexec, if it's not starting, by typing "exec autoexec" and press enter.

Sorry it's a bit confusing, I might edit this later. I'm short on time.

But using a sapper doesn't remove your disguise, Why would you need that?

Plus you need to turn the corner and turn into another person, Not the same person.

i dont use scripts

It's useful if you have just stabbed the engie. Why would you not disguise after killing the engie/sapping?

Scripts are for nubs who can't play, before when the pistol wasn't speed capped and auto fired at max speed I used to be able to go ape stuff spamming bullets without using a script.

But still, The engie knows you stabbed him, So he knows your disguise, Why would you want to be the same person by the time he gets back?

Bleh. It saves time, if you're hiding behind a sapped dispenser, for example. You kill the engie, sap and hide behind the dispense. Before it's destroyed, you're already disguised and safe from the sentry on the other side. Then you can go and sap that.

I didn't even know you could make scripts for TF2, and now that I know, they sound stupid.

Basically hacks

Same here. I had no idea anybody thought it was difficult :\

Cheating? derp

Make it well holding the cloak and dagger you can backstab, but when you do backstab your invisibility will go away.

alias "toggle" "sap_on"
alias "sap_on" "+attack; alias toggle sap_off"
alias "sap_off" "-attack; alias toggle sap_on"
bind "1" "sap_off; slot1"
bind "2" "toggle; slot2"
bind "3" "sap_off; slot3"
bind "4" "sap_off; slot4"

lets you toggle the sapper with Q

Scripts are for idiots who can't play the game as it is.
