I'm temporarily using some crappy sound packaging system demo, tomorrow my project will be to take the sounds either from the internet or from my Portal files (if that's possible) and clip and set them to my liking. The person who did the sound pack made some dumb decisions on what sound goes where.

A handful are good though, to give you some ideas, I liked portal opening and closing sounds for maximizing and minimizing windows, "Hello, and, again, welcome to the Aperture Science Computer-Aided Enrichment Center" (GLaDOS) for turn-on, "Sorry, we're closed" (Turret) as failed device connection, "Shutting down..." (Turret) for shut down, "Unknown error" (Turret) for errors, "Can I help you?" (Turret) for "question", and "All deleted" (GLaDOS) for Recycle Bin emptying.

Stand by: "Are you coming back?"

These are good ideas and I'll definitely consider them.

All you have to do is download GCFScape, extract the files from Portal_english.gcf, and then use those. Try editing them, though.

I DL'd the pepakura Turret file and I'm making it. It's so cool. What I'm gonna do when I'm done is I'm going to make a pedistal for the Turret with a red portal button on it and whenever you press it, it will make a Turret "statement". You should do that too Regu. Wouldn't be that hard either. Kipkay has a cool tut on how to edit the "That was easy" staples button to say whatever you want. You could derive something from that.
