You should do a thing like Packer: Take some, awesome, 8-bit sprite and paint it somewhere on the car.
Then have the paint fade around the decal, and when you remove it, you have a huge, glaring spot on your car where the paint hasn't faded. Or, have some stuff painted on it permanently, reducing its value.
Both of my cars are stock everything with no ornamentation/decals except for new speakers and a nicer radio (original was just AM/FM/Cassette) in my sedan.
Going to sell my S-10 pickup, since it's sitting in my driveway and uglying everything up.
