Author Topic: RuneScape - I'm not skilled enough to brush some dirt off this herb  (Read 809110 times)

I don't play old RuneScape because I'm too lazy to level up again.

I'm happy that with my mystic air staff, I can cast Divine Storm as many times as I want. However, with my mystic robe set, amulet of glory and mystic air staff, I can't seem to accurately hit a monster with it. It takes me about a thousand lifetimes to get a single, decent hit.

i saw this and thought woah that has to be fake
anyone have any info on that

fishing sucks balls.

No, but seriously, you should feel bad.

i hear people talk about how easy it is to make money now

is this just because the grand exchange is pretty much charge what you want now and hope people will buy it or something else i don't know about

It's because of all of the money in the game. I guess you could call it inflation, except prices aren't really going up. And yeah, jagex has dumbed down the game a lot from before.

i'm sure the 200M prize in the squeal of fortune's been won a few times. that'd certainly 'stimulate' the economy a bit.

People who say it's easy to make money are the people who train up combat to 99 so they can solo nex, it's not exactly "easy," it's just that you get the money in a lump sum.

:O BLASPHEMY!
I need to get fishing up to 67 and i've only gotten like 50k exp, that's with a skill pendant and strong urns. I hate skilling because it's mind numbingly boring and the payout is stuff.

i can make tons at the large smelter.
just buy all the coal and addy needed. run to and from bank making bars. then sell the bars.

can even start with a tiny bit of money, few bars at a time being made.
i spent like 9 hours total at the location over a week and made a clean 50 million.

combat cant even compare to that little amount of work.

if you had the smithing level you can make an addy consumable like arrows, they might earn a tiny bit more.
otherwise people still pay up the ass for the bars.

I used to play this game a while back when it was pretty good.
Should I play this game again or not bother?

Nex kills can make stuffloads of cash. The thing about smithing is that it's only useful at higher levels, mithril and below are all stuff when it comes to selling.

you arent smithing anything from them.
people buy the bars for skilling and they cant be made fast enough. they arent cheap. and you only need half the amount of coal to make the bars at the furnace.
even if you buy the entire process you still profit huge and fast.

combat drops are unreliable and small in comparison

players have to go through great efforts before they can even fight nex. its not like its a spawn to quick grab, that you can reattempt every 10 minutes.
and even if you have the best gear and skills it still takes a minimum of 2 people. even though common groups are 3-4 loot that has to be shared if the group is fair.
there is only 1 drop that is worth it at that point. and its no more common then the stufftier rewards.

the time and effort dosnt even come close to skilling money
