Could someone explain to me what the difference between Chromium and Chrome is? I know this isn't really the right place to be asking, but I see a lot of people using it in their pictures.

Chromium is open source and doesn't include any of Google's "experience" features that send back data to them about your browser usage and whatnot.
Chrome isn't open source and does exactly that, sends data which you probably don't want sent.
