That makes no sense, yuki

Explain what's wrong with calling them clips.
Its not what they are named.

Its like calling a mexican a monday

Its not what they are named.

So? Big deal... people know what they mean when they say clips.

Because clips are clips, they hold ammunition together so it doesn't go everywhere. You remove ammunition from clips to insert it into your weapon's magazine, which is combined storage and feeding mechanism.

Its not what they are named.

But how is calling the magazines clips inefficient and that it makes no sense?

Its like calling you  BobTheBuilder. Thats not what your name is, thefore, why would we call you that if that is not your name?

This.

I like this topic, it's very informative. My grandfather was a gun person, he allowed me to shoot guns at a nearby range.

Because you asked, okay.

YOU GUYS ARE SO SMART AND EFFICIENT AND KNOWLEDGABLE ABOUT GUNS.
...right.. don't get me wrong I like guns, but everyone is acting like they own and regularly blow people away with them

This entire page has been about the difference between a magazine and a clip. How does this make me a psycho killer.

A clip, or STRIPPER CLIP, is used to LOAD A MAGAZINE (or a cylinder if it is a revolver).

A MAGAZINE is used to feed a GUN. They are NOT INTERCHANGEABLE, the same way that you can NOT INTERCHANGE a gas pump for your gas tank or your straw for your cup. They have separate functions.

Wow. This has told me a lot I didn't know.
I really thought a shotgun had that range D:
