  • The game takes place in 1912.
  • Elizabeth was held captive there for 15 years.
  • This sets the cities completion date sometimes before 1897.
  • Due to this, it is long before the discovery of Plasmids and Tonics.

This all not to mention that is seems apparent these people are not as close to genius as Rapturians. So it's not renaming, it's the logical choice to give them a name these peoples would have chosen where as Rapturians would have had no prior knowledge. Also, more notes:

  • Vigors, unlike Plasmids, offer a limited number of uses.
  • This is determined by the power of the Vigor.
  • They are removing the circular selection GUIs.
  • They are giving the player less ability to switch between their weapons, including Vigors, so as to force the player to learn their arsenal instead of ignoring the ones they simply don't like for ones they'd prefer.

Yes, the gameplay was quite amazing. The bell tower falling over was reportedly a game dynamic, and not actually scripted. They referred to it as a "setpiece moment." The action within the video was also supposed to be the actual gameplay dynamic amp'ed up instead of a set of scripted, unlikely events.
