Also also, Jesus wasn't white. *GASP*
That one irritates me, like Mormon Jesus.

Misconception #4:

Star Wars Episodes I-III were good.
Get outta here you rebel sympathizer

Misconception #??
Some people believe that the USA stopped both world wars and all the other countries were either blown up or nonexistent.

some natives were savages though
Makes you wonder why, hmm. Oh wait white man stole there land and killed off their people, pass the info from generation down and they get racism built into there brain to kill the white man. British enslaved black people, including Natives. They rebelled because they don't put up with that stuff, and you call some of them savages. No human is born a savage, you only act like one when your world got tipped outside down into hell.

What'd you do if Russia or some other random country took over America or where ever you lived and totally turned around the way you live, would you put up with it or fight back like a savage?

Misconception #5: Christopher Columbus was first man to America.

No, Vikings were the first to settle in America way before Christopher. And even before the Vikings nomads migrated across Alaska and into America across the great ice bridge from Russia.

OP is a butthurt German from Soviet-controlled East Germany who was born in the dark ages*
your're gay

Misconception #1: Germany started WW1

The Truth: No, just no. Anyone who even dove slightly deep into WWI history should know that a Serbian nationalist group murdered Bulgarian Archduke Franz Ferdinand, which sparked countries in Europe to take sides between Serbia and Bulgaria. (Allies were with Serbia in case you didn't know)

If you're going to correct people do it right: It was Austria-Hungary and not Bulgaria.

NO
forget YOU forget YOU forget YOU

Wait no I misread that.
Please add punctuation. For a second I thought you were saying Vikings went through Alaska.

Blimey, I wanted to have a long winded rant about that. I will go on anyway.

The event which many people consider as a starting point for the Great War was more like a catharsis of the 1867-1914 era. That time, the larger political entities could be divided into two groups, the ones who started colonisation early and had vast amount of colonies and lands (England, France, Russia) and the countries which were late to the whole colonisation game (German Empire, Austro-Hungarian Monarchy etc.).

Also, during that time the Ottoman Empire was dying and losing many territories in the Balkans which meant that new countries were born, but it came at the price of instability which is why the region was considered as a "barrel of gunpowder". There were two Balkanic wars, the first one broke out in 1912 and ended in 1913 (Christian nations against the Ottomans) just to have the second one break out two months after the first one since Bulgaria was bitter and dissatisfied with its share in the first one; during the second one territories were lost. This made Bulgaria side with the Central Powers. (Not to mention that many countries wanted to colonise the Balkan Peninsula).

Now to be more simple from this point on, the usual political games and the tension between the countries that colonized early and the newcomers that demaded "their share of the cake" resulted in that basically every country was just waiting for an opportunity to have that war started.

Also, remember kids, the Second World War was a direct consequence of the unjust and harsh treaties that marked the end of The Great War.

stuff

Also all the stuff going on in the Middle East right now is related as the Ottoman Empire was split up and divided amongst the England and it's allies who didn't give a forget about the cultural differences in the territories they created.

How could anyone care about something as stupid as history?
... Seriously? Seriously?!?
Despite how annoying it may seem to learn history, it's VERY important.
It can also be a very good source of amusement to me when people argue about it.

I would fight back.
Live free or die hard, man.
