I wrote an essay about why Africa sucks because the people suck, and I don't have sympathy for overpopulated, underdeveloped third-world nations. Our nation has worked for about 200 years toward what we have today, there's no reason we should feel ashamed of our lifestyles in that they are much better than those of Ethiopia or some other hellhole. Just look at Haiti, it's literally right loving next to other countries that are doing decent, but the people are handicapped and the government is stuff. No Haitian does anything so it will remain a stuffhole, no matter how many crates of rice we ship over there.

Or not, you might as well burn your money. Charities are just feelgood machines, they don't do all that much, and giving a few dollars to one may not even help anyone (but at least you feel good, right?) If you really want to make a difference, you have to actually go someplace and do something.

Clearly they are not starving if they live just as well.

Good theory. Just because you starve doesn't mean you die from it immediately. People starve for years, eating dirt, grass, bugs, whatever they can find. They "get by" but still eventually die from it.

Around 8,000,000 people die from starvation every year while 128,900,000 are born per year and 1/4 of them are born into extreme poverty, 8,100,000 dying before age five.

So there are only two options, being because they aren't all dying. 1. Eradicate them all or 2. Help them.

How about #2? You don't understand the torment.

Most of you forgets think going 24 hours without a goddamn burger is loving bad? A burger a week would be gold to these starving people.

People on the BL forums that have hearts: Thank you from my own heart, which is nothing compared to the gratitude that the poorest people in the world have to say.

Naysayers: forget off and get the forget off my thread, get a life, find a girlfriend, knock her up, find an apartment for $500 a month that your parents refuse to pay and live off of $8.55 an hour, providing for your baby, your girlfriend and yourself. Not so hard? You know why? You'll be on welfare and get by somewhat happily. There's no loving welfare for third world countries.

I'm not saying donate to charity. The 1billionhungry.org is a petition; not a charity organization. Get enough signatures and the UN will have no choice. The UN fears petitions because the number of signatures represents the number of people who would be willing to kill UN representative if they don't get their way.

We're talking about your fellow world citizens here, you know that right? Their country sucks because their governments suck and the people can't do a goddamn thing about it because the people who try to live are killed by rebels who pillage, rape, and murder them. These people have no control, otherwise I bet my life savings to charity that if they had access to military weapons (not bullstuff black market backfiring peashooters and ak-47s) they would certainly do something about it.
