Author Topic: Cache Database? Uh oh.  (Read 2753 times)

What the hell? Everytime I start up blockland and it goes into the main menu, Cache Database never loads up... After about 1 minute or 2 it just boots me out of Blockland and pops up the message saying:

Quote from: crappy pop-up
Blockland could not write to cache database.

This can be caused by running the game from a read-only directory or CD-ROM.

What should I do?

Any chance you're using vista?

If you you using mac, make sure to drag the Blockland Folder into the applications and open it up from applications, ever since I did that I haven't been having problems. Except for singleplayer quiting on me when a brick is overlapping another brick and I try to plant it, instead of saying "OVERLAP", blockland just shuts down.

Use the download from the website not the auto updater ingame, it worked for me when i got that cache database error.

I have the same error as Jacky. :C
By the way, tails how do you get on the properties of blockland to untick it?

Find the blockland file in program files, right click and go to properties.

Whenever I change it to not read only and start blockland, it changes back

I just fixed it!
I renamed add-ons, loaded BL, let it build the cache database, then closed it, renamed add-ons back to normal, loaded BL and it works!
