Whenever I start up garry's mod, it takes 10 minutes on the Loading... screen, and whenever it's past that, on the main menu or loading a server, the text is like this:

delete all add-ons

don't download add-ons from servers.

Can I just delete my garrysmod/garrysmod folder, or will that screw everything up?

Edit: I reinstalled and that didn't help, and I deleted addons, and that didn't work either.

You can delete your garrysmod folder entirely.
If you do, it will restore default everything with the Game Cache File (GCF) stored on your PC.

However, this seems like it might be a GPU issue. How old is your PC/what are the specs?

I know I can run it, I did the canirunthis thing. So do I delete garrysmod/garrysmod, or steamapps/garrysmod?

delete the second garrysmod folder and boot up gmod

Delete GMOD completly and then reistall it in steam.
