I highly recommend this one if you need to ask that question.

Download Blender 2.49b with preinstalled Python and DTS Exporter (Download, extract, run and export. Simple as that.)

Do you know a good site which explains the full interface to me? instead of buying a book like Noob to Pro?

wtf is up with my shading

Oh and another thing- how to make a Blockland weapon add on? i see everywhere people say you "cant do it if you don't find out yourself" But how am i supposed to know on how and where to put mount points for the hands, how to make the shell casing fly out of the gun, ect. I can make a model, and i guess i can get an idea on how to script by looking at other add ons, but I need to know stuff like mentioned above.

And yes I'm still using blender 2.49b I hope Il get a new PC this Christmas

Is it possible to import models from Blockland into Blender? I would like to begin modelling, but start off making some edits of the default weapons.

Okay, thanks. I was planning on using the search, but didn't know what exact words to search for.

Plus, I didn't think anyone did this.

I have more questions.

How can I find out the exact length of a line/edge?

How does the armature work and where is the exact place on the weapon's handle where I place it?

Download Blender 2.63 (Released on 10th of May, 2012) (Recommended)
That's a link to Blender 2.64a. Where can I get 2.63?

2.64a is the newest. I have no idea why I specified the version number there. Check OP again.

Can someone answer these, please? DarkStar's thread doesn't help.

How can I find out the exact length of a line/edge?
On Blender 2.6: N > Mesh Display > Edge Length

How does the armature work and where is the exact place on the weapon's handle where I place it?
Where you want it to be mounted to the player's hand. Placing the armature on a sword's blade will cause the blockhead to hold the sword on the blade.

I need more information than this.

When I add an armature, it looks like this:

What I need to know is which parts of the armature need to be on the model. I can't just place it randomly on the model's handle and hope it works.
