How can I paint something? And can I paint a certian face and not let the paint go over to half of the face next to it?
Use this for an example if you don't understand what I mean:

(remove black lines.)
Are you using the built in paint function or materials?

The built in one I guess.

The built in one I guess.
I think you need to separate the faces into different objects. The built in painting sucks anyways.

Assign different vertices to different materials, like so

use the assign button

Blender 2.5:

Ctrl + S > Curser to Center

Centers the curser to the center. Easier than your way.

I think he's using vertex paint.

How do you export with transparency?

How do you export with transparency?
Enable translucent and additive in the material options when exporting.

Hi I'm having a little problem. So I remember in previous versions there was a fractal button, but in 2.6 I can't find it anywhere, does anyone know where it is or how I could access it?

Is there any way to get everything to move and scale on a grid? I don't feel like I'm lining up things properly with them just sliding around.

No idea what fractal button you mean.

Q: How do I snap to grid when I'm editing my mesh? (Moving, scaling rotating etc.)
A: In the 3D View toolbar there is a little button that looks like a magnet called "Snap during transform". Click that and select Increment from the Snap Element menu next to that button.

In old versions of Blender there used to be a fractal button under mesh tools but it's not there anymore.

Looks a lot like displacement mapping.

The last one is made using a cloud texture and a displacement modifier.
