If I'm making a playertype, do I need to make the animations in Blender 2.49?

You have to. The animation data does not transfer from 2.6 blends to 2.49.

DTS Exporter for Blender 2.62?

Doesn't exist. The only DTS exporter for Blender is for 2.49b.

Dang.
Hopefully there will be one soon.
Should I just download version 2.49b instead?

It's the only way to do it. Just model in 2.6, animate if needed in 2.49b, and export.

Alright thanks.

Ive downloaded 2.49b and I think I found the right Exporter (BlenderDTloveporter_097beta3) but its not showing up in 2.49b

Awesome thanks.

Sorry if I feel like a bother. New to modeling.

EDIT: Worked Thanks. Finally. I just need fix the animations and and joints then I can export

Question:
Ok, so I have all my animations done so they next step is to add the bones. So I added those. It says it the other thread you have to make 2 empties. Can they be placed anywhere?
After I place the empties so I just export the model?

I don't think it really matters where the empties are. I'd put them in the center anyway.

Thats what I ended up doing.
Now do I need to render anything, or after I finish adding bones and empties can I just export it?

Rendering and exporting have nothing to do with each other.

In-game my models are missing colors, they're gigantic and they're not in my hand

Wrong rotation and scale in Blender, you didn't align the model to the center, you didn't assign materials or put the images into the same folder with the model.

Im not really worried about the colors

But whats the alignment supposed to be? I just cannot get it
