Could somebody summarise what is happening? Are we getting attacked again or glitch? I didn't understand the last few pages and I can't host my server.
some jerk is sending thousands of connection requests using a program or bunch of servers
since kalphiters server (read: anyones server) cannot handle that many requests, the server lags.

Ok thanks.

That's not what lag is.
the server is being overworked handling all the connection requests, and cannot give a high enough priority to the actual players
or something

What pisses me off is that there is an ISP just letting these attacks flow through their systems.

numerous isps, as it is a DDoS, not just a DoS attack.
correct?

What?

I generally think a person lies behind one ISP...

Just stop talking, you have no idea what you're talking about.
