robots dont eat food
Both organic and mechanical constructs require energy to function.

using food as a fuel for a machine is ridiculous

using food as a fuel for a machine is ridiculous
you're ridiculous

using food as a fuel for a machine is ridiculous
ur rerichardulous

using food as a fuel for a machine is ridiculous
No, it's not. We are already at a stage where vegetable/fryer oil can be used to run cars, it's not any more ridiculous for a robot from a fantasy/future setting to be able to eat fried chicken and gain energy from it than it is for that robot to exist in the first place regardless of diet. It's like pointing out that Bender shouldn't be drinking beer. Maybe it isn't realistic, but if you care about realism that much in fiction then you are a very, very sad sack of stuff.

i think the only exception to this is if the fiction in question is supposed to be realistic

for night fox

It's like pointing out that Bender shouldn't be drinking beer.
whoever created him probably wasn't a Super Duper Robot Enthusiast

but it is though. that fried chicken isn't going to give nearly as much energy as the same amount of actual fuel would
for night fox

YEAH. so cute
do you wanna upload it to the fanart part of the site? or me do it? or not post it at all there?

YEAH. so cute

hooray

do you wanna upload it to the fanart part of the site? or me do it? or not post it at all there?

you can upload it 'cause I think I have to register and I'm lazy
or if you don't go ahead anyways

i think the only exception to this is if the fiction in question is supposed to be realistic
DARPA has a real life ongoing project with the goal of building an autonomous robot that can "eat" plant matter in order to keep itself powered. It is not nearly as far-fetched as you think it is, it's just that it's rarely ever depicted in fiction.

but it is though. that fried chicken isn't going to give nearly as much energy as the same amount of actual fuel would
You're right, being able to adapt and utilize different sources of fuel is completely ridiculous. It's why us humans only eat one specific food and ignore the rest because pfft why would we eat that if it doesn't give us as much energy as this.

but can they taste the sweet and spicy taste of chicken

It is not nearly as far-fetched as you think it is, it's just that it's rarely ever depicted in fiction.

?

i mean i was just commenting that if a story is supposed to be realistic, it would make sense to care about realism
not really about the whole discussion in general

but it doesn't really matter so

Yes but can it see why kids love the taste of cinnamon toast crunch?
