For all I know this includes tracings of images, so I don't get why they wouldn't belong here.

Tracing is fine as long as you don't claim it as yours. Thats the only issue anyone should have with it. Tracing helps learning.

tracing is fine but only if you credit the original and admit that you traced

technically if you never put forward art, it doesn't need to be claimed by you. I don't sign my sketches, but I do sign my artwork

blockguy, it's best to learn to draw from reference, not from tracing things. tracing is a really bad habit to get in to.
