How heavy is that arm backpack

Looks like it weighs more than the character wearing it

this is like the only thing i've ever drawn

the longer i look the stufftier it appears. does this happen to anyone else

Anybody have some tips on how to start getting better at drawing? where does a scrub begin?

draw straight lines at angles instead of curves for a while

try not to keep the pen/utensil against the paper for too long

Don't dwell on your drawings for too long just move on to the next one and keep on drawing you'll always improve with repetition just like any other skill don't be afraid to use reference or inspiration to fuel your ideas when drawing as long as you're not straight up copying, unless it's for study

Line work is essential so nailing that is important then you can focus on shading and etc

And if you see yourself finding mistakes in your art or it happens to looks stuffty it's merely your perception that's improved rather than your execution so just keep drawing to improve.
