Pretty much everything counters pyros, most effective would be engineers.

Smoke doesn't hurt anyone.
Meaning if it's thrown at death it wont do anything unless teammates are around.

I swear I read something like this on /v/ a few weeks ago.

Keep in mind we're talking about a sniper here. A boomerang wouldn't naturally meet the range requirements a guy who is a long range specialist has.

I seriously beg to differ, a good pyro can easily take out almost any class unless distracted or against someone literally waiting for them (as in they 100% know the pyro is coming and preparing for it). Only class good at taking them out is a sniper, but that's at a range which a good pyro never is at.

The Soldier could have a shotgun, that would locks on player under 15. could be called Maggot Finisher :D

The Sniper could have a revolver that slows you down when you're shot by it, making you vulnerable for a headshot, but just for a little time, like 0.2 seconds.

Eww, both are ridiculous, the shotgun is useless seeing that if you are close enough to use it, chances are you are dead anyways, revolver is overpowered beyond belief, there is nothing to make it underpowered.

Just a little thought, any weapon a sniper has cannot slow down a player because that automatically makes it overpowered due to his ability to get headshots with his rifle/bow, you can take out literally any class with it if you have skill or not.

Well there's a lot of overpowered weapons in TF2, like the shortstop.

I think the game needs more SMGs. The Solider could have an assault rifle or something and the scout could have mabey some fast SMG.

The shortstop isn't very overpowered anymore, when it first came out it was overpowered, I haven't seen anyone use it decently in a while.

TF2 is trying to NOT be like most games, that's why they use such obscure weapons, not assault rifles, that would literally ruin the point of the class.
