Does Ender's have a mapper?
My version does, but the original doesnt.

what a tease
Not really, why would you need a mapper for a cave anyhow?

Hmmmmm.

You mean this mapper?
Quit acting like you're the only one with a custom client. :I

the only cool thing you could do with a cave mapper, is put a trans filter on it, and overlap it upon the top ground map.

and even then it would only be cool on a larger scale like a world collected map again, with a toggle on and off for cave views.

That looks new :o
oh my.
And now i did not mean a minimap for caves i meant a mapper.

Sorry, not possible. :V
The mapper reads the tiles the game sends you and assembles it into a map. It works above ground too.

Lets say the cave opening is at the coordinates 1.1
Can't you get the client to map the coordinates 1.1 of the above world, then match them with the ones below?
Then place them onto the map?

The game only sends you so much map data at a time. You can't request more than it sends.
If you're underground, it only sends you map data of that. If you're above ground, it only sends map data of that.
Then there's a limit of how many tiles it gives you, and as you walk farther it gives you more tiles and takes away the old ones.

Jews.

Well I suppose you could ride in a boat and carry one at the same time so you have two boats to flaunt around in.
