It seems like Americans think that way, simply because he gets the spotlight (probably because the President is more of a PR position than anything).
His spotligh seems to have calmed down. He's still a big celebrity, but not as much as he was when he was put into office.

Just so you know, Egypt's president's name is Mubarak. So stop referring to him as "The President", it's giving me a headache trying to riddle out which president you're talking about.
