Makanix: Chapter 4I woke up on the floor of what looked like a small teleport pod. It took a while to readjust myself to my body again, but I finally stood up. I was in a large room. The three walls were blue and where the fourth wall should have been went into a massive hangar looking room. Strange aircrafts hung from the ceiling and unusual vehicles were parked on the runways that led to the hangar doors. The room I was in was covered in large cables and circuit boxes that ran up the cyan colored walls and covered the floor, over which was placed metal platforms to walk on. I finally noticed there were two people in the room with me. A tall man in a suit that almost matched the walls was busy typing on the hologram screen of a control panel. Next to him was another man about the same height, but wore more casual clothes. It was Raeyok, the leader of Krypt. Since the co-leader elections, he had changed greatly. Maybe it was because he wasn't wearing a suit. He wore a plain red tee shirt and dark blue baggy jeans. "Hello Makanix. Welcome back." He said to me as I stumbled over to the control platform. "Thanks..." I said, leaning on the back of the control box to keep balance. "Careful! Try not to press any buttons. I'm sure you want this to happen again." The man in blue said, not even looking up from his typing. Raeyok looked at the man with a slight frown, then turned to me. "That's Doctor Cyan. He's one of our engineers here and the creator of this machine." I looked back at the machine. It was much bigger from a distance. The pod was clearly an addition to the larger cylindrical engine behind it. At the top was a large metal orb that seemed to be transmitting electricity to four tesla coils mounted in the corners of the room. "What exactly does this thing do? Or... Supposed to do?" Dr. Cyan looked up from the screen. "Well, it was supposed to generate a portal, but clearly it still has some major bugs to work out.""What kind of portal?" "Well, to another reality. Linking two worlds together." He walked over to a box on the side of the machine and opened it. After pressing a few buttons, he returned to the controls and began typing again.Raeyok walked towards the door. "Would you like a tour of the building?""Uh... Sure."We walked out the door into the main hall, if it could even be considered a hall. The walls were lined with large metal plates that formed a long hexagon shaped tunnel. The door led onto a walkway in the center of the tunnel that was held in place by rods attached to the walls. We walked down the hall, passing many other doors with name plates on them. We stopped at a door labeled "Khoz: Head of Weaponry"
