Medieval is by far the most interesting known time period , lots of things to do, however they usually lack quite a bit of tactic, seeing that instead of shooting with guns at a range they just charge into a mob of people with no coordination at all, and who's better wins.

I'm more of a futuristicy kind of guy.

Futuristic by far.

Medeval lacks realism (there are no loving goblins/portals/etc irl), nearly all current-day games involve fighting, ancient is... ancient, never seen any 1900-styled games.

If you play a game like Medieval Total War, there's no goblins/portals/etc. He didn't ask for genre, so he's not saying he prefers fantasy. He just said he likes the Medieval period more than any other.

I prefer 1900s or present day. It usually depends on the genre of game though.

I think I like medieval games and futuristic games equally. Medieval is all pretty with its huge forests and grandiose castles, while futuristic gives my imagination a few kicks in the junk with its ingenious technology, culture, and so on and so forth.

Speaking of games, anyone ever seen the Battlefield 3 trailer yet?

I'm taking suggestions for the next poll because I can't think of anything right now.

Fantasy.

Retrofuture.

Basically it's outmoded concepts of what the future would be like Fallout series, Bioshock, games in that vein.

How 'bout medieval times with magic & myth undergoing an Industrial Revolution?
