Or buy the cheapest Windows laptops for everyone...?

Or buy the cheapest Windows laptops for everyone...?
I don't care how cheap or expensive it is, it's still stupid.
You don't need computers to learn. People have been learning without computers for centuries, stop being lazy.

This just made me wish the tech people at my school were less competent. The only real slip-up they had is buying a number of iPads for a theatre class while all the rest of the computers are out of date.

My old school required every student had both a Laptop and an iPad (or some other kind of tablet).

Middle school kids don't need laptops, and high school students that really do need them should supply their own netbooks. Anyways, I study using something called pen, paper, and a brain.

My school's laptops are alright. The only problem is that they insist on us using Internet Explorer only.
Agree. At our school, we have some with windows 7 and some with windows XP. I ain't complaining. CTRL-ALT-DEL is fine, I made a matrix batch file and the kids thought I was hacking, but they were happy. :o Also I got on facebook, and they were happy. Apparently CPS has very good filtering, because when I did that cmd -ping 123-891230921 thing, I went to facebook but it was banned.
I don't care though. :P

Well, guess what? I thought everyone posting WAS a high school student.

I'm a high school student and I still think laptops/netbooks/forgetall are unnecessary.

Learn to toughen up children.

Its called thinking. Try it sometime.
It sounds hard. :c

It sounds hard. :c

My history teacher makes me do something called "power mapping".

Its like a pro outline with actual organization around a central idea with evidence to support it and unnecessary stuff cut out.

I loving hate it because I can never do it right :C

It sounds hard. :c

Yeah. :c
I once did it for like half a second during a test. It hurt because it was my first time. Haven't done it since. :c
