I approve of this. This would be a very good engine change.

This would be very nice, add alot of depth to maps as well.

This is something I would love to see one day.

It would be great to have this added. I also agree that we've somewhat hit a modding dead end.

1. day night transitions
2. random rain snow

I do want to put the day/night transitions in.  They would work really well because all of the brick lighting is dynamic.  However, to put them in I would have to break network compatibility and I want to avoid that for now.
Of course this was a long time ago and i'm sure badspot has broken it many times now.

Interesting. The deleting and remaking the skybox works fantastic and it does re-render brick shadows as expected. If he would just do Solution #2 hacking up the network is not required and the way I'm doing it now would work without any problems.

This would be a very cool thing to have.

That's a very pretty picture you got there.

I support this. I would also like clientcmdmissionstartphase3(); to be blocked after the server loads once. People have been using it to make dark interior maps like bedroom dark seem light to their client allowing them to cheat in various sorts of minigames on those maps.

Thanks for the heads up. :cookieMonster:
