Name: Shin Festir
Location: Dai-Gunden, Airship.
It took forever to get the clearance to launch the Dai-Gunden. The higher ups were weary of the possibility of capture. Shin explained that the Dai-Gunden could be destroyed with a simple flick of a switch if needed. The huge blimp was now on a course for Cuba, where an insurgent base had been erected.
Shin sat down in his quarters, looking over constant data feeds that scrolled across his laptop's screen. This was the Dai-Gunden's first flight; nothing could go wrong.
"Mr. Festir, the Captain wishes to speak with you." Talia, Shin's assistant, said. He nodded, shut down his laptop and left his room. The blimp contained three decks. A Flight Deck, a Living Deck, and a Battle Deck. Shin's office was, oddly, located on the Battle Deck. He walked past the Gunnery Station, the Weapons Systems, and the Pod Launch Bay. Dai-Gunden was the first ship to be fitted to launch Shin's Battle Pods. Excellent. He took the stairs up to the Flight Deck, passing a few members of the crew. The greeted him scornfully. Just because he was smart didn't mean he was welcome aboard the airship.
"Captain Hikowa?" He said as he stepped into the bridge. There was a 180 degree view of the clear sky in front of them. Captain Hikowa sat in his chair, lighting a cigarette.
"I just wanted to make some things clear." Shin remained silent as the captain turned away from him. "First off, we aren't Japanese while we're on this ship. We're Russian. No talk of the homeland here. Second, you may have created this ship, but I'm in charge. What I say goes. And lastly,"
Hikowa tossed him a booklet. A flight manual. Shin's color drained from his face. "You're going to pilot the Gunden Ace."
