I think to most people it's just the sense of discovery fading away for them. I remember back when discovering all the brick types, events, secrets, add-ons, etc., but I don't really get those people because they obviously don't build much/join servers.

I joined in V14, Since I only ever downloaded V15, Never any before that. I liked V14. V15 was forgeted up. All that fog glitch stuff, Wait... I'm confused.

Just look:

Build quality on average is decreasing.
We're taking on more new members than I think the community can handle at one time.
Several Blockland "veterans" are leaving.
There is still so much stuff in our forums.

Our building skills are being stuff on because we've lost our "vets" to set the bar for the new generation. Further worsening the problem is that we have a bigass new generation (15k and above). And everyother day I hear about some richardwad on the forums.

You're completely wrong. Building skill is increasing. You just don't look hard enough, not every good builder posts every little build in gallery. I loved discovering things, and exploring maps, but I don't think those versions were any better. V8 is crap compared to v19. Nothing about it was better on a game perspective.

Sure, the original sense of discovery isn't as visible, but if Blockland hadn't been increasing in fun or ingenuity, I would not still be here. It takes a lot to keep players playing a game for 3+ years.

I hate how people make some stupid reloading scripts to their guns, and the Iron sights are just useless. of corse those weapons were Really awesome and cool when they first started coming out but i dont really like them.

V19 is good. But we need something new. Something, different. Improved engine qualities maybe?

Now, I also like the old beta versions of BL, because it's pretty neat and it makes things simple.

I have one friend who quit BL ages ago.
His reason was that he liked BL better in V8, when it was crap. I guess his reasoning was that his stuff was better by comparison, and everyone loved his crap.

I think it's that no one is important anymore. Now that everyone can host, and more players moved in, the typical anti social "elite" players decided to stop playing instead of attempting to make friends with the new players, because all new players are bad. Having a bunch of idiots join doesn't matter. So what if the top 10 servers are all RPs. Find another server or host your own.

I agree, but due to popular demand, I have to update my Deathmatches and Dogfights so they have T+T 2, otherwise, players won't come to my servers.

v8 was good because there were a whole bunch of "friendly" players that were nice and didn't say "omg noob i ban you for spamming k?"
