sure, nothing can beat the success of wow, but they can still succeed and have good sales, which gw2 definitely will, since it's not the same old tiring formula of target enemy > press everything that isn't on cooldown

I was wondering how the dynamic events would work. Would they appear for all players or just you. For example, would a caravan escort appear for everyone, or would only you see it?

Everybody, Then they scale up in size and difficulty depending on the amount of people.

Dynamic events are what have replaced quests.
