At a point you'll fall through the ground if you go continuously in a direction in a map like Plate2, Plate3, Slate etc.

And not to mention that most infinite maps on Blockland just wrap around in an infinite loop. I honestly have no idea how that works. Could someone explain?

I can't but here's my theory.

The terrian is made (edited) in-game, thus it can also be remade in-game. However interiors are mdoels so in Bedroom map if oyu go off the edges you'll still see the terrian but not see the bedroom/house because it's like a huge undeletable brick...

Ok I suck at explaining.

I think the infinite terrain is just how Torque works.
That or Badspot added it in at some point.
And the mining mods in Blockland are very much like Minecraft's infinite maps.
It generates the bricks as needed.
Except Minecraft's system is made better.

Torque, instead of introducing physical map boundaries, just repeats the terrain that's inside the game area over and over. I'm not sure exactly how it works or if it really is infinite, but for comparison, the engine Battlefield 1942 was on did the same thing.

Sort of a biased question because this is the BLOCKLAND Forums, but what the heck. Go ahead, answer it. I do not relate the two because they are completely different other than the "build andything" philosophy.
Here's a list I made to help you make your mind up:
Minecraft
Pros: Better than infinite mining. AI is better. You don't have to fiddle with minigames. Huge, custom maps with much more space than Blockland maps.
Cons: 16 bit graphic. Laggy on most computers. Buggy. Slow multiplayer with seperate server launcher.
Blockland
Pros: Way better graphics. Better multiplayer. Virtually no bugs. More features. You don't have to enter IPs to enter a server.
Cons: No good survival minigame with all of the features of Minecraft. Can't get new texture packs.

BOY, YOU KNOW WHAT. I THINK SUPER NINTENDO IS GAY

Blockland
+ Great multiplayer experience
+ Great building system
+ Nice network API
+ Great add-on system
+ Great add-ons
+ Okay community(most of it, at least)
- Glitchy physics
- Mediocre lighting

Minecraft
+ Cool Gameplay
+ Cool mods
+ Appropriate textures
+ Nice lighting engine (as of Beta 1.3)
- Terrible network API (a Blockland server hosted on a 5-year old home PC is faster than a MC server hosted on a real network server.
- Terrible add-on system
- Bad community
Fixed

It is very hard to make a high res texture pack without making it look like a lower res than it is.

@whoever posted that picture of the extreme detail pack: that is only 128x128, so a 512 would be insanely more detailed if made well.

I made a better comparison, even though the games really cannot be compared.

Blockland
+ Great multiplayer experience
+ Nice network API
+ Great add-on system
- Glitchy physics
- Mediocre lighting
- Ugly textures

Minecraft
+ Survival is awesome (SO MUCH TO EXPLORE :D)
+ Cool mods
+ Appropriate textures
+ Nice lighting engine (as of Beta 1.3)
- Terrible network API (a Blockland server hosted on a 5-year old home PC is faster than a MC server hosted on a real network server.

Well, I tried.

Bold = you're stupid, italics = citation needed, underlined = Torque engine problem

But this looks pretty lovey

Pros: Better than infinite mining. AI is better. You don't have to fiddle with minigames. Huge, custom maps with much more space than Blockland maps.
Cons: 16 bit graphics. -Arg. I prefer gameplay over graphics. This shouldn't even be a con. Laggy on most computers. Buggy. -Please say this when minecrafts out of beta. Slow multiplayer with seperate server launcher.
Blockland
Pros: Way better graphics. -Ahem. See above. Better multiplayer. Virtually no bugs. -Every game has bugs. Fly really far away from your spawn point in slate. More features. You don't have to enter IPs to enter a server.
Cons: No good survival minigame with all of the features of Minecraft. -Its up to the community to make that. Not badspots. He can make it if he wants though. Can't get new texture packs. -Yes you can. Its not as easy though.
This is what i think about some of the pros and cons of the games. Also some information there.

THE GRAPHICS ON  MINECRAFT ARE FRICKING PS1 THEY ARE MORONS

Minecraft is too pixaly, and boxy, squary.

About boxy, inb4boxxy.

Also, another con for Blockland: Port Fowarding.

Ontopic: Minecraft wins in my opinion, Blockland just has better addons, and Minecraft has more gameplay wise features, like hunting, taming.

You can also be a REAL MAN AND FIST TREES.
