i found a neat method somewhere for killing skeletron prime
basically have a giant platform of hellstone/hellstone brick and remove your obsidian skull/shield/horseshoe (assuming you have it) and let the hellstone hurt you instead of the boss
works even better if you have the cross necklace
Doesn't work. They made it to where any debuffs that harm you do separate damage. Standing on hellstone/meteorite no longer causes the short moment of invincibility.
No, an easy way to beat the bosses is to prepare for them. get piercing weapons for the destroyer ( magic, usually. You have access to Golden shower and Nimbus rod.)
Once You beat the destroyer you can make the Megashark to kill the other 2 bosses.
Cross Necklace with Star viel (Causes stars to fall when damaged and increases invulnerability) Philosophers stone (lowers potion sickness down to 45 sec, instead of 60)
Adamantite/Titanium armor. First 3 arent NEEDED, but they help. They are just difficult to get do to the uncommonness of mimics. Also any wings also help a lot.
Build an arena also. The jungle has Heart plants, which increase your health by 5 for each, maxing your health out at 500.
To help with health, you can use a regeneration potion, have honey placed down, a campfire, and a heart lamp near each other. They all stack iirc. Also, any heart statues connected to multiple 1sec timers also help. Most (if not all) require some sort of preparation.
Speaking of healing, i heard 1.3 will have different debuff times for different healing. I hope they don't increase the time at all and maybe even lower it for greater potions. Maybe they could make a debuff that acts similar to mana sickness to where it lowers all healing effects by a certain amount, and goes down over time? so like it starts at 50%, causing greater health pots to only heal 75 instead of 150.
I also though though of something today. You knwo how they have metal versions of bricks? I wonder if they would have the ability to move slabs, which are much more flat to look at so they you can create a sort of metal house if you want, instead of having shiny bricks.
