I'm just sitting here with my overloaded character with unreal snowman cannon building a village on a new world to access all the new stuff
Also the bewitching table is the loving best
Also i found a strange plant and got reflective silver dye, it reacts to light and it's pretty cool, whenever you give a strange plant to the dye trader you get 3 dyes so it's pretty fair, mine was just growing on the overworld, but i can imagine it only getting harder now

as i said, we've been playing for 5 or 6 hours and we just can't beat the eye, and we're 3 people

Expert mode scales boss difficulty based on how many players are on, similar to how the events work. If a players is good enough, it might be better to go at expert mode alone.

Kill ~170 enemies in that Tower's zone.
It will break the barrier then you can attack it.
I managed to reach end game.
Time to go back to expert mode and get forgeted.
