EDIT 2: Has anyone noticed? Demonite can be now mined but i belieave is only found deep in the chasms of the corruption.

It can be mined anywhere i think, i saw some far away from the corruption.

It just comes in REALLY small veins

Also wtf I created a new world and the first cave had two chests before it even had a drop off.
