I'd love to learn how but I don't even have any ideas for cool stuff

If I could do it with AutoDesk Inventor (and I probably could) then 3 years of modeling robot parts would be a nice advantage in that department

We really need a payload tug of war map.

You try to push the cart to the opponents side of the battle grounds, and they do the same. The mix up being you're both pushing the same cart on the same rail.

Heh, that'd be awesome. I would remove the cart's healing and ammo refill ability.

It would end with too many stalemates. The reason the 'tug of war' dynamic works with control points is cause there's 2 active points at any given time. Everyone fighting over a single cart wouldn't work.

What if there was two carts, but every time you pushed yours the enemy's went backwards at the same pace.

That's like having 2 people stand on their points in a 5cp, you ain't gonna get stuff down if you dont kill the person defending.

But in control points, you can still cap a point when there are enemies on the other one.

You're thinking of attack/defend, where the point configuration is:

       P
  P        P

I'm talking about 5cp, when it's like

A     B      C     D    E

There are only 2 points open at a time, and if your standing on your team's open point, they can't cap it.

I think there should be a game mode where yes, two payloads, but it's more of a race to see who can get theirs to either the center or opponents side first.

Oh and the you can move your opponents payload backwards.
